My New E.L.F. Makeup
Author: ticklemeice
We just had our department Christmas party earlier. It was the usual eating and exchanging of gifts. I wrote in my wish list, a black eyeliner. But, instead of receiving a black eyeliner, I received a box of eye makeup. It was my boss who picked me, and luckily, she knows her way with makeup. Here it is:
Guess what? As soon as I got home, I washed my face, and of course, experimented with my new makeup. I so love it! First, I applied my Art Deco eyeshadow base. Then, I put the darkest shadow on my lid, followed by the gray shade, then the silver shade, and finally the white shade. I then lined my eyes with the Elf eyeliner, blended it using the blending sponge to create the smokey look. I curled my lashes with the eyelash curler included in the package and applied the regular mascara. Oh, by the way, the mascara has both the regular and the water-proof one. :)
To complete the look, I added Jan's gift to me... A Sally Hansen lip gloss in Cognac! I applied it on top of my Body Shop lipstick in Bronze.
Here's the final look!
Thanks, boss, for the gift. I really love it!

Customer is King... ^^
Author: ticklemeice
Customer is our King. We often hear and read this in commercial establishments. But, does it always happen? Treating somebody as a King means giving your 100% attention to him, making him feel valued and special and giving the best service that you could ever do. Here’s my story…
Last weekend, while walking along boutiques in Mall of Asia, I suddenly decided to have a haircut. I went to South Area and scouted for salons: FreshAire, Ricky Reyes’ and Going Straight.
I went for Ricky Reyes. He is a famous figure in the beauty business, so I thought they will have good standards. I went in, was greeted by the receptionist and was advised that it will take around 30 minutes for my turn. For me, it was okay. I needed the wait to rest my feet, too.
One by one, customers who were waiting was called in for their treaments. I looked at my watch and noticed that it was more than 30 minutes already. Also, I noticed several hairstylists huddling in one corner, giggling. I guess I’m in for the next seat.
I approached the receptionist and asked her if it’s my turn already. Then, she said in a loud voice, “Si Ma’am oh, kanina pa ‘to.” I went back to my seat and waited for someone to approach me but no one did. I said to myself, “5 minutes. Pag wala pa, ayoko na.” I flipped through a magazine and bought some time.
5 minutes! I went back to the reception area and stalked out of the door. I looked back and saw all eyes on me. Such a good service, I muttered under my breath.
So, after that, I went to Going Straight Salon. I went in, was greeted by the receptionist and was advised to sign my name on a sheet of paper. She asked what service I am going to avail and led me to the couch for waiting. I noticed that she has a microphone and uses it to call on attendants and stylists for every turn of each customer. “This is a good sign,” I told my self. At least, they’re organized. Thinking again of Ricky Reyes’ Salon, I imagined my blood boiling.
So, anyway, everything went smoothly in Going Straight. I even ended up buying their privilege card to avail discounts on next services. That means, I’m going to come back again to this Salon ‘coz I love, love, love their service.

My Not So Good 1st Day at Fitness First Platinum
Author: ticklemeice
I was really pissed off on my first day at Fitness First in RCBC that I immediately posted a comment in Girl Talk Forum.
Here's my post verbatim:

It was my 1st day today at FF RCBC. I hate the PT who oriented me. Hindi cya realistic and he's pushed me way too far sa limits ko. First, he asked me to use the treadmill for 10mins. And, nung feeling ko hindi ko na kaya and I told him about that, lalo pa nyang binilisan ung speed. Ano yun, nangaasar lang?
I could have collapsed in front of him. So, what I did, I pushed the Stop button. To think that it was my first day, and the last time that I had worked out was like 2 years ago, hindi dapat ganun. And what's wrong pa, it was at 8 minutes already and he kept on increasing the speed. Nagslimmers world na ko, I worked out all my life during college sa school, and I know na dapat for cool down na yun.
Another thing was during the use of equipments, he never corrected my form. What he wanted was for me to finish the number of repetitions without teaching me how to use the equipments and teaching me the proper form. For example, dun sa leg press, he was even helping me lift my seat just to finish the 15 reps. Haayz.. basta i don't want to be trained by him again. His name is AJ, btw.

I really, really hate him. Tomorrow, I hope I will be able to wake up early and join a group exercise in MOA branch.

Last year, I was really hoping to get the 2008 Belle de Jour Power Planner, but unfortunately, it was always out stock whenever I visited PowerBooks because most girls had reserved their copies already...
And for 2009, I didn't let it happen again... I reserved for my very own copy at their site and paid it immediately. They had this promo of receiving a Philosphy by Mikaela Discount Card if you're one of the first 1,000 payers! So, I got a slot!

Another good thing about this is that they've got 60 coupons that I can use... Here's a sneak peek so you'd want to buy this...
So, how's that? Great, right? So, you girls out there, go and check out their site: www.belledejourpowerplanner.com and grab your own copy! You don't know what you're missing for next year!

Lovin' Art Deco Eyeshadow Base
Author: ticklemeice
I've always been wanting to apply eyeshadow and enjoy the colors on my eyes.. But, bless me.. I have such oily lids! My search for my HG eye shadow primer thus started. I was eyeing UDPP 'coz I've tried it from a friend's when we attended a party and it worked! I was up all night drinking and dancing and when it was over, my shadows are still popping!
But, OMG! Not only is it pricey, but it is hard to acquire as well. It's not being resold locally. One has to get it abroad.
Then I read Jheng's (I'm her fan, but she doesn't know me yet! Hihi) review about it and I said, why not give it a try? It's the cheaper alternative but the same effect. Well, not totally, the same effect but they are comparable.
So, there. Payday came! I hurriedly went to Watson's and looked for Art Deco's booth! Got it! I was with my husband that time and he asked what was the eyeshadow base was for. I sampled a swatch of their eyeshadow at the back of my hand... one the with Art Deco eyeshadow base, and the other, without. He saw the difference and he agreed! Very supportive, huh? :)
So there.. I went home with a smile because I just had my wish.

Up for Primer
Author: ticklemeice
I sooo love makeup. However, there's one big problem that I really hate.. My makeup doesn't last long because my face is oily and because of the weather. It's like an all-year round summer here in the Philippines!!!
Now,I am on the lookout for the best makeup and eyeshadow primer. I recently tried Body Shop Matte It but it's not doing its job well. When applied, you can feel the difference.. But after just an hour or so, my eyeshadow creases, my blusher never to be found, etc.
I am currently looking at Smashbox Foundation Primer and Urban Decay Potion Primer. I've read a lot of raves on both products but rants on their prices, too. Well, I guess I have to prepare and save up on these two to find my HG in applying makeup.
Oh! And I heard Monistat chafing gel is a cheaper alternative, too, when used as a primer as well as TFSI! I'll check these products out and we'll see what happens..But, first, I have to save up on my salary. Toinks!

Goodbye, Roxas...
Author: ticklemeice
I woke up late.. again.. I promised myself to save some money but this time, I have to take a cab again. Aargh! I cooked my baon, ate a bit, took a bath, fixed myself and tada.. went straight to the taxi lane near our place.
As I was rummaging through my wallet, I realized, I had only P70 left.... I was silently praying. Please, please, please... Let my fare be at around P60 only. I was hoping against hope for the impossible. My normal taxi ride is P100!!!
We sped through EDSA, then turned left at Ayala Ave... I peeked at the taxi meter. Shit! It's at P85 already! I really have to bid goodbye to Roxas already. :(
Between my bundle of credit cards, ATM, and health cards, was a limited P100 bill bearing the limited edition Centennial logo. I clutched the bill and took a picture of it. I know there's a chance of getting another but, this is MY Centennial bill! Not other bill can replace it. But, I guess, I have no choice.
The taxi turned right at Buendia and stopped at RCBC Plaza. I handed the bill to the driver and went away without looking back.. I went to the office with a heavy heart.

Malling even on rainy days!!!
Author: ticklemeice
I promised myself I was going to blog last weekend.. I had so many topics in mind and ideas bursting to come out! But, what the heck! It was raining Saturday and Sunday and I was out there in Mall of Asia, feeding my shopping soul (actually, it was my window-shopping soul that I fed!)
Saturday...I was with my kid and my hubby strolling along lines of boutiques, ate our hearts out at Shakey's Pizza and had fun playing at Time Zone.
Sunday... I was out all by myself, looking at makeups, makeups and more makeups but ending up buying nothing!!! Gee! I was fulfilled to actually stop myself from splurging but feels empty inside.. (Naks! Heartbroken because of buying nothing? Hahaha). Then, I bought the necessities.. Groceries that will last for the whole week, baon of my kiddo and other stuff needed in the house.
So, there.. Let me reserve for the days to come the blogs that I was supposed to have written last weekend.

Love Your Body Shop...
Author: ticklemeice
I just love Body Shop!!! And as a treat to myself on my birthday, I've splurged into a P3,000 makeup shopping. And I love every product I've bought. I used my Love Your Body (LYB) Rewards Card to avail of the one-time 20% discount that I am priviledged to use on my birthday month.
Here's my favorite card...

And here are my latest buys!

04 Flawless Skin Perfecting Foundation SPF 25 (P1,195 but I got this for only P717 because of my LYB card
01 Liquid Eyeliner (P650 but got this at P520!)
I also bought a Strawberry lip balm originally priced at P250, but then again, with my LYB card, I got it at P200. This one, I gave as a gift to a dear friend.
Best of all, I had this for free:
Yes, you read it right! A make-up brush roll absolutely free! They had this promotion wherein if you spent P2,000 on makeup and makeup brushes, you will get the makeup brush roll for free.. And with my loot above, I have, in no doubt, reached the minimum amount required.

Cute wedding cake
Author: ticklemeice
Online dating has been a trend in the Internet. And, while surfing, I read an article in Femalenetwork about this very interesting wedding cake...
Seriously, this is a wedding cake! And it wouldn't be hard enough for you to guess how this couple met, right? They had med through online dating. This is a "his" and "her" computer showing each other's profile as their lives were connected through the Internet represented by the laptop wires formed into a heart and finally deciding to get hitched. What's better are the 2 cups of Starbucks coffee making the scene cozier. :)
I guess, it still wouldn't hurt to hope for a happy ending, ayt?

Cabal Online (Philippines)
Author: ticklemeice
I am so into Cabal these days.. It has been commercially launched last June 21 after weeks of testing. It gained popularity among online gamers, and I can say that I am one of those who got hooked with the game.
Here's the story behind the game...
Long ago people's greed led the CABAL to cleanse the land. Amidst the devastation, seven great masters of Force Power led the survivors to rebuild.
Now, almost a thousand years later, the CABAL is once again manipulating Evil; fostering the child that would be king to once again cleanse the land. It is up to you to face the invaders of Nevareth, and uncover the conspiracy behind it... (source: http://www.cabal.com.ph/story.php)
Once you've registered and entered a server, you will be prompted to create a character. There are 6 characters to choose from.
1. Warrior
2. Wizard
3. Blader
4. Force Archer
5.Force Shielder
6. Force Blader
So, if there's anybody who has lots of free time and is into online gaming, try this one and choose the character that suits you. :) One tip, though... Start off with the quest and you'll level up in no time. ;)

My First Post
Author: ticklemeice
I have to create this new account to show the lighter side of me, as Jan, my officemate says it.. :)
So, perhaps, you will expect to read just anything... As I describe my site as "Anything on Everything." I would just write ideas on my mind or things that I fancy.. From makeups, to online games, to my work-related stuff and all the things that spice up my life.
Another thing! Maybe, you'd ask where i got my username.. Tickle me ice? What the hell is that? Well, it's just a stall in RCBC that sells fruit juices! And, for no reason at all, I picked that name for my blog site. There really is no story behind that name. Perhaps, as I go along, I will slowly fit and represent that name. Hopefully, I can tickle you with my ideas and opinions and other plain stuff that I would like to share. :-)
